Mental Status for Physical Examination

Part of the physical examination, is trying to determine what is the mental status of your patient. It is extremely important to do an evaluation of the patient’s mental status if you suspect a previous head injury or trauma. If there is a history of head trauma, your patient will exhibit symptoms associated with that type of injury. All head injuries should be evaluated immediately, any hesitation in doing so they put the patient in jeopardy and at a risk of dying.

Sincerely,

Dr. A.Bendik
